How should indoor doors be installed in Guangxi?
I. Preparatory Work Before Installing Wooden Doors in Guangxi
Before installation, you need to open the packaging and perform a thorough inspection, carefully checking the product’s quantity, style, color, size, surface quality, and other conditions that can be detected with the naked eye.
1. Door leaves and door frames should be stacked indoors using mats, with each door leaf kept separate from the others. They must never be stored together with acids or alkalis. The indoor area should be clean, dry, and well-ventilated.
2. Store in a room without shelves, away from heat sources, to prevent thermal deformation.
3. Inspect the site conditions, clear the work area, and verify that the reserved dimensions of door openings or door frames meet the requirements.
4. Confirm the installation dimensions and take inventory of all products and accessories.
5. Prepare the installation tools, and at the same time, take out the door leaf, door frame, hardware accessories, door lock, hinges, glass, and other components to be installed. However, do not remove the outer packaging from any of the main components or accessories—just stack them together to avoid damage and confusion.
II. Door Frame Installation
1. The door cover assembly should be tightly and smoothly joined, with no black gaps; fasteners must be securely tightened; the diagonal measurements of the door frame should be accurate, with a tolerance of ≤1 mm within 2 meters and ≤1.5 mm beyond 2 meters.
2. The gaps between the door frame and the wall must not be filled with cement. Instead, use foam plastic for filling and fixing, followed by wood.
3. After the door frame is installed in contact with the floor, the surrounding area of the door frame must be filled with mold-resistant architectural sealant (available in various colors) to cover the edges.
III. Cable Installation
The enclosure should be evenly coated with adhesive and securely fastened to both the door cover and the wall. The sleeve connections must be smooth, tight, and free of any gaps. After installation, the enclosures on the same side should lie in the same plane. If the wall is uneven, it’s essential to ensure that the enclosure joints are properly aligned. The curvature of the sleeve conduit allows for a tolerance of 1 millimeter. The gap between the sleeve conduit and the wall must be filled completely with sealant.
4. Door Installation
1. After installation, the door leaf should be smooth and vertical, with its surface flush with the exposed surface of the door frame. The door leaf should open and close smoothly and silently, without any unusual noises.
2. The gap between the door frame and the door leaf should be 10 mm at the bottom and 3–4 mm on the left and right sides; the allowable tolerance for all gaps is ±0.5 mm.
3. After the door leaf is fully closed, it should fit tightly against the sealing strip without any wobbling.
V. Hardware Installation
1. Hinges: The upper hinge should be positioned 15 centimeters from the top of the door leaf; the lower hinge should be positioned 15 centimeters from the bottom of the door leaf. If three hinges are installed, the spacing between the middle hinge and the upper hinge should be 8–10 centimeters. For solid wood door series, it is mandatory to use three hinges. The hinges must be installed vertically and smoothly, and the fixing screws must be fully and evenly inserted, completely concealed within the hinge plane.
2. Door lock slotting: The distance between the center of the slot and the bottom end of the door leaf should be 95–100 centimeters. The slotting must be accurate and standardized, with dimensions matching those of the lock body and lock plate. The door lock installation should be secure, and the unlocking action should be smooth and free of any unusual noises. After all accessories are installed, all fixing screws must be straight and flush.
3. Accessories: The door stop should be installed 2-3 centimeters from the bottom of the partition door leaf and 2-3 centimeters from the side of the partition. The door closer should be installed 2-3 centimeters from the side of the partition door leaf. Other accessories should be installed in appropriate positions. Ensure that all installations are secure, with fastening screws fully inserted and straight. After installation, the accessories should function properly.
VI. Installation Effect
1. The gap between the door cover, door seal, and the ground should be less than 3 mm, and this gap should be sealed with waterproof sealant.
2. After the entire door is installed, it should be smooth and evenly aligned, open freely and smoothly, have an overall excellent appearance, and be free of scratches.
3. The cut wires during installation must be thoroughly cleaned up and removed.
Indoor Door Installation Acceptance Standards
1. Check the surface of the door for hammer marks and scratches.
2. The door leaf must not be in the fan operating state.
3. The installation of the door lining should be both horizontal and vertical.
4. The diagonal difference of the gap should be less than or equal to 2 mm.
5. The seam of the door lining shall be no greater than 0.3 mm.
6. The gap between the door cover and the door leaf shall be less than or equal to 3.5 mm.
7. The side of the door cover and the main surface of the door leaf should be perpendicular to the ground.
8. The side of the door cover should be parallel to the main surface of the door leaf.
9. For Guangxi wooden door manufacturers, the sealing strips are fully inserted into the grooves, smooth and untwisted, with seamless connections that reach all the way to the floor.
