I. Preparatory Work Before Installing Wooden Doors in Guangxi

Before installation, open the packaging and perform a thorough inspection, carefully checking the quantity, style, color, size, surface quality, and other conditions that can be assessed with the naked eye.

1. Store door leaves and door frames indoors on pallets, keeping each leaf separate from the others. Do not store them together with acids or alkalis. The indoor environment should be clean, dry, and well-ventilated.

2. Store in a room without shelves, away from heat sources, to prevent thermal deformation.

3. Inspect the site conditions, clear the work area, and verify that the door opening or frame’s dimensional allowances meet the specified requirements.

4. Confirm the installation dimensions and verify all products and accessories.

5. Prepare the installation tools, and at the same time, take out the door leaf, door frame, hardware accessories, door lock, hinges, glass, and other components to be installed. Do not remove the outer packaging from any of the main parts or accessories; instead, stack them together to prevent damage and confusion.

II. Door Frame Installation

1. The door cover assembly shall be tightly and evenly joined, with no black seams; fasteners shall be securely tightened; the diagonal dimensions of the door frame shall be accurate, with a tolerance of ≤1 mm within 2 meters and ≤1.5 mm beyond 2 meters.

2. The gap between the door frame and the wall must not be filled with cement. Instead, use expanded polystyrene foam for filling and securing, followed by wood.

3. After the door frame is installed in contact with the floor, the perimeter of the frame must be sealed with mold‑resistant construction filler (available in various colors).

III. Cable Installation

The enclosure shall be evenly coated with adhesive and securely fastened to both the door cover and the wall. The conduit interface must be flush, tight, and free of gaps. After installation, the enclosures on the same side should lie in the same plane; if the wall is uneven, ensure that the enclosure interfaces are properly aligned. The curvature of the conduit may have a tolerance of 1 mm. Any gaps between the conduit and the wall must be filled with sealant.

IV. Door Installation

1. After installation, the door leaf shall be flat and plumb, with its surface flush with the exposed face of the door frame; the door leaf shall open without any unusual noise and operate smoothly and freely.

2. The gaps between the door frame and the door leaf shall be 10 mm at the bottom and 3–4 mm on the sides; the permissible tolerance for all gaps is ±0.5 mm.

3. After the door leaf is fully closed, it should fit tightly against the sealing strip without any wobbling.

V. Hardware Installation

1. Hinges: The upper hinge should be positioned 15 cm from the top of the door leaf, and the lower hinge should be 15 cm from the bottom. If three hinges are installed, the spacing between the middle hinge and the upper hinge should be 8–10 cm. Solid wood door series must use three hinges. Hinges must be mounted vertically and flush; all fixing screws must be fully seated and aligned straight, recessed within the hinge plane.

2. Mortising the door lock: The distance between the center of the mortise and the bottom edge of the door leaf shall be 95–100 cm; work must be precise and compliant, with dimensions matching those of the lock body and strike plate. The door lock shall be securely installed, operate smoothly without unusual noises, and all mounting screws must be fully tightened and aligned.

3. Accessories: The door stopper shall be installed 2–3 cm from the bottom of the partition door leaf and 2–3 cm from the side of the partition; the door closer shall be mounted 2–3 cm from the side of the partition door leaf. All other accessories shall be installed in appropriate locations. Installation must be secure, with all fixing screws fully tightened and aligned straight; after installation, all components should function properly.

VI. Installation Results

1. The gap between the door cover, the door seal, and the floor shall be less than 3 mm, and this gap shall be sealed with a waterproof sealant.

2. After installation, the entire door should be flat and evenly aligned, open smoothly and effortlessly, with an overall aesthetically pleasing appearance and no scratches.

3. Any wiring cut during installation must be thoroughly cleaned up and removed.

Acceptance Criteria for Interior Door Installation

1. Inspect the door surface for hammer marks and scratches.

2. The door leaf shall not be in the fan‑operating state.

3. The installation of the door lining shall be both horizontal and vertical.

4. The diagonal difference of the gap shall be no greater than 2 mm.

5. The seams of the door lining shall be no greater than 0.3 mm.

6. The gap between the door cover and the door leaf shall be less than or equal to 3.5 mm.

7. The side of the door cover and the main surface of the door leaf shall be perpendicular to the floor.

8. The side of the door cover shall be parallel to the main surface of the door leaf.
